PART-TIME CLASSES | ADULTS | PRINCE GEORGE

Part-Time programs do not require approval from the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training.

Auditioning for Film & Television

Actors spend most of their time auditioning, and while the skills and knowledge required are very similar to what we do on set, the subtle differences are what separates those who hope to book and those who do book. Where it may take hours to film a single scene on set, the audition process requires you to express several character elements, demonstrate emotional range, and show the ability to take direction instantaneously.

Our G.R.E.A.T. O.P.E.R.A. system will help you develop your ability to break a script down to a place where you can truly ‘serve the story’ while meeting the unique demands of the fast-paced audition setting. This course will give you confidence to make strong choices, adapt to direction authentically and efficiently, and deliver truth under imaginary circumstances.

Prepare for every audition like it’s the “big one”, and one day it will be. Our skilled instructors will help you develop the skills you need to create a great reputation with Casting Directors, and get you auditioning more often and more successfully.

Voice-Overs | Cartoons & Commercials

Diversifying your creative skill set allows you to generate multiple revenue streams in your acting career. This helps ensure more consistent income, even if it is slow in one or more of your talent areas. Most of us start out developing our craft to perform on stage or on camera. Determined to eliminate the need to get an alternative ‘day job’, many of us also choose to broaden our skills to include other creative outlets, such as writing and voice acting.

A trained voice actor can generate revenues from a variety of opportunities, including: cartoons, radio ads, tv ad voice-overs, video games, audiobooks, trailers, narration, industrial and corporate videos, and more.

This class will help you explore and expand your vocal range, giving you a library of voices to offer potential productions and clients. You will learn to find “what’s not on the page” to bring authenticity to the characters you are performing, while also developing the technical and organic skills you need to deliver real characters in this rich and often misunderstood part of our industry.
